In an attempt to cash in on promote their racing pedigree, Lotus has introduced the Evora S GP Edition.
Drawing inspiration from the Lotus-Renault Formula One race car, the Evora has a black exterior with red mirrors, gold wheels and distinctive striping. Additionally, the car is equipped with the premium package, the technology package and a rearview camera. So it has a lot of toys, but the most important thing is how it looks. Lotus cars always just seem to look right in the classic black and gold livery, from the original F1 cars to the Esprit to the Elise, and now the Evora.
Like the standard model, power is provided by a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine with 350 PS (258 kW / 346 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. This should enable it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds) and hit a top speed of 172 mph (277 km/h).
Production will be limited to three units and pricing starts at £69,950 ($109,155 / €79,850).
