Morgan stay true to their sketches with a futuristic vision of British Sportcars…
Following on from last week’s story here, Morgan finally unveiled their latest stunning creation, the Eva GT at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California on Saturday.
Most of the previous details seem to be correct, but according to Autocar the price will be £80-85,000. Here’s the Morgan offical info:
Morgan EvaGT (specification subject to change)
The goal is to manufacture a practical car that could be used everyday and answer all a family’s transport needs. Although it has two large doors the car can seat four adults and has a large boot (reference the current Morgan Aero SuperSport, but it is considerably deeper on the EvaGT with a full hatch style entry). As all Morgans the car will be fun to drive with sensitive hydraulic power steering and excellent balance. The mass is evenly distributed within the axles and the car has short overhangs.

The Morgan Motor Company is taking orders with a request for a deposit of £5000 to ensure an early allocated build slot. The first 100 cars are planned for production to begin in mid 2012.
But frankly we just want to see more pictures of the car, so here they are!
Now, as amazing as the computer renderings look, we can’t help feeling that they lose a little drama when transferred to the real life clay model. It seems a lot less low and sleek, more upright.
But we will just ahve to wait and see until the fully production ready car is revealed at the Paris Motor Show in September.
What do you think? Is it as stunninng as this writer is saying? Your choice, you decide!
